Service Learning at Toa Payoh SCHCC

Quite disappointed that the physiotherapist cannot go into details eldercare today. It seemed that there was a performance earlier on and the MP was an invited guest. The room which the physiotherapist used to brief the students was packed with the catered food and some of the staff were busy clearing it. He was not able to show us the exercise machines which the elderly used.

I hope you remember what is dementia and other illness which the senior citizens normally suffer from.

It must be a busy day for the staff and I think we have really chosen the wrong day to do our CIP. We had to cut short the time as the senior citizens had to go back early. I think some of you are not adequately prepared either though some did try to interact with the elderly.

Common test 1

Work hard for your first Common Test. For Combined Humanities - this will be 40% of your CA. The other 40% will be from your class tests and assignment. Remember to log into the asknlearn forum which constitute the other 20% of CA!

New Time table with effect from 19 Jan

Service Learning - Care and Concern for the senior citizens.

We will be visiting the Toa Payoh Eldercare Centre on 9 February for our service learning. Remember to pay to Solomon $2 for the transport. We had already done the planning in our last VE lesson. Please get into your groups on Monday to do the necessary preparation and rehearsal of the activities for the visit on 9 February.

You will be dismissed from class at 1 p.m. on the 9 Feb. Please get a quick lunch and gather outside the office to board the bus at 1.30 p.m. We should end at 4.30 p.m.
